Posted: April 16, 2012 Filed under: Copenhagen, Interview, Radio Helsinki | Tags: Copenhagen, Radio Helsinki, Sendung Tonspur, Veronica Falls Leave a comment »Veronica Falls are a band which are playing kind of 6o’s inspired pop, now a days we would call it indie pop. The band was formed from members of the bands The Royal We and Sexy Kids. Based in London they were touring pretty much with their debut self-titled album. Enjoy the interview and don’t take the adulation too serious
Interview – Active Child
Posted: April 16, 2012 Filed under: Copenhagen, Interview | Tags: Active Child, Copenhagen, Radio Helsinki, Sendung Tonspur Leave a comment »Pat Grossi and the harp. Well, his project Active Child is of course more than this instrument. His analogue synths and the echoing harps creates a good way of a contemporary pop sound. Listen to the interview with Pat for maybe digging a bit deeper into his musical sphere. Enjoy!
Interview – Timber Timbre
Posted: April 16, 2012 Filed under: Copenhagen, Radio Helsinki | Tags: Copenhagen, Radio Helsinki, Sendung Tonspur, Timber Timbre Leave a comment »“With my music I try to romanticized notions of the landscape evoke of my childhood. Winding streets, old cemeteries, dilapidated barns, There’s nothing worse than a white guy who sings the blues.” that quote is from Taylor Kirk the guy behind Timber Timbre about his music. He is on stage maybe not the guy who likes to receive the main attention. More likely the songs should stand for the band and not the person behind. You might see it during a concert when he is not really in favor being captured by a camera
Enjoy the dark-sweet side of his music landscape in the interview

During the last couple of years he was also experimenting with sound collages as you can listen in his album called “Postcards and Audio Letters” with his recent work, he was getting back to his roots of songwriting. Enjoy the songs about love and pain and still feel the good vibe in his lyrics. Enjoy the interview!

but they enjoy their selves and gained experience over the last couple of years to transform their records into a delightful live set.

Next stop, Future Islands. The Balitmore based band is touring a lot but also being pretty creative as you can hear with their last to albums called “In Evening Air” and “On the Water”, both are realased at their home label Thrill Jockey. Their electro-synthpop is really energetic and if you have the chance to see them once in a while life you don’t want to miss any second of the concert. Enjoy the interview
Interview – Tycho
Posted: March 5, 2012 Filed under: Copenhagen, Interview, Radio Helsinki | Tags: Copenhagen, Radio Helsinki, Sendung Tonspur, Tycho Leave a comment »Image and sound melt in the American ambient act Tycho to a closely linked unit that thrives on intensive dialogue between image and world of sound. In particular, live develops the artistic concept of Scott Hanson’s effects. On his first release he was dealiing with the two sides of his creative personality to bring together them in harmony: He regularly supplemented his vinyl and CD releases to elaborately designed posters, leaflets and stylish print quality gatefold covers.
The combination of design and music coming from Scott Hanson is not by chance. His main job is being a graphic designerliving in Sacramento/California . As a designer, he also makes a name in the first scene. Hanson operates the ISO50 blog, where he distributes his first graphic works. His album “Dive” makes the trippy-chillout electronica sounds, like the releases mentioned of Boards Of Canada in one breath, known worldwide.

The American electropop duo Chairlift, is playing a sweet retro sound in the form of 80s synth, electro beats and catchy melodies on Chairlifts second album Something. The catchy proceeds from the album, the single “Amanaemonesia” has already caused a lot of positive attention.
In the U.S., the duo is regarded as a potential “next big thing”. Songs of the debut album “Does You Inspire You” should have been previously issued to journalists on tape, to prevent the spread over the Internet. The good old cartridge, like a hippie image of the oblique electric folker to singer Caroline Polachek, which present themselves in the video for the song “Planet Health” in white robes. From the “Brooklyn hippie-chic” writes the “Intro”magazine during an interview with intro Polachek.
