Interview – Active Child

Pat Grossi and the harp. Well, his project Active Child is of course more than this instrument. His analogue synths and the  echoing harps creates a good way of a contemporary pop sound. Listen to the interview with Pat for maybe digging a bit deeper into his musical sphere. Enjoy!

Interview – Timber Timbre

“With my music I try to romanticized notions of the landscape evoke of my childhood. Winding streets, old cemeteries, dilapidated barns, There’s nothing worse than a white guy who sings the blues.” that quote is from Taylor Kirk the guy behind Timber Timbre about his music. He is on stage maybe not the guy who likes to receive the main attention. More likely the songs should stand for the band and not the person behind. You might see it during a concert when he is not really in favor being captured by a camera ;) Enjoy the dark-sweet side of his music landscape in the interview

Interview – Tycho

Image and sound melt in the American ambient act Tycho to a closely linked unit that thrives on intensive dialogue between image and world of sound. In particular, live develops the artistic concept of Scott Hanson’s effects. On his first release he was dealiing with the two sides of his creative personality to bring together them in harmony: He regularly supplemented his vinyl and CD releases to elaborately designed posters, leaflets and stylish print quality gatefold covers.

The combination of design and music coming from Scott Hanson is not by chance. His main job is being a graphic designerliving in Sacramento/California . As a designer, he also makes a name in the first scene. Hanson operates the ISO50 blog, where  he distributes his first graphic works. His album  “Dive” makes the trippy-chillout electronica sounds, like the releases mentioned of Boards Of Canada in one breath, known worldwide.

Interview – Chairlift

The American electropop duo Chairlift, is playing a sweet retro sound in the form of 80s synth, electro beats and catchy melodies on Chairlifts second album Something. The catchy proceeds from the album, the single “Amanaemonesia” has already caused a lot of positive attention.

In the U.S., the duo is regarded as a potential “next big thing”. Songs of the debut album “Does You Inspire You” should have been previously issued to journalists on tape, to prevent the spread over the Internet. The good old cartridge, like a hippie image of the oblique electric folker to singer Caroline Polachek, which present themselves in the video for the song “Planet Health” in white robes. From the “Brooklyn hippie-chic” writes the “Intro”magazine during an interview with intro Polachek.
