Karkwa are a band from Montreal and a part of the Francophone music community. Therefore their musical success in Quebec is amazing. But step by step they are earning more attention also in the Anglophone community, starting with winning the Polaris Prize in 2010. In the last couple of weeks Karkwa was also on tour in Europe. Well of course the size of the venues is a bit smaller than at home. E.g. where the opening band for a free concert of Arcade Fire by the end of September in Montreal. But still they are thrilled to play in front of a crowd which not might know them as good as they know them at home. Enjoy!
